Symposium Summary
Introduction: The Secondary Education centre is established as an environment of socialization, supposing for the minor the immersion in the group culture where two behaviours can appear widely related in the literature, as they are the violence and the consumption. Methods: In this symposium, different factors related to the development of consumption and violence in adolescents are assessed through empirical studies, and finally the design of an augmented reality programme is presented. Results: The role of different variables involved in the development and prevention of behaviours such as consumption and violence in adolescence is established. On the other hand, the design of the augmented reality programme is described. This programme will allow the detection and prediction of risk behaviours of minors, and, at the same time, it aims at modifying them by observing the consequences in a virtual environment, using Emotional Intelligence. Discussion: For the prevention and intervention in risk behaviours in this stage, it is necessary both to investigate the role of the different variables related to their development and to establish suggestions that make the programmes more accessible to adolescents, for example, through games and new technologies.
