General guidelines for submitting papers

All papers submitted to the conference must strictly follow the rules described below. The templates available on this website must be used for the presentation of all abstracts for the different types of presentations. The subject of all presentations must comply with one of the topic areas established by the Conference and be directly related to Psychology and Education.

Participants may submit proposals for the ORAL presentations, POSTERS and SYMPOSIA by first registering on the website, and then sending their abstracts via the online platform. The author responsible for presenting the work will also be responsible for uploading the abstract to the platform for review, for which they must use the same account which they used to register.

To submit abstracts for oral presentations and posters, the data required on the online form must be filled in, together with an attached document in ‘Word’ format containing the abstract written in Spanish or English (both languages are aceppted), please, use the template provided.

To submit abstracts for a symposium, the data required on the online form must be completed, and ONE single document in ‘Word’ format must be attached, containing all the abstracts written in Spanish or English, together with the contact details of the author responsible for each of the oral presentations to be included in the symposium, using the template provided in all cases.

Types of presentations

Oral presentations

Oral presentations should aim to show, very briefly, the results of recent research studies. Speakers will have 15 minutes for each presentation. We suggest that the presentation is planned carefully to include some time for questions and discussion.

Abstracts must have a maximum length of 300 words and be written in ‘Times New Roman 12’ font with single line spacing. All abstracts should include the sections Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion and Keywords, using the template provided below, which format must not be changed.

DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE ORAL PRESENTATION

The best presentations are eligible to be considered for publication in the following journals:

Once the papers have been selected, if the authors are interested in their publication in a given journal, they will need to be adapted to the guidelines and style of these journals. The final versions of the papers will be peer reviewed and the Editors will make the final decision regarding their acceptance.

Posters

Posters will be similar in nature to the oral presentations, but this option is recommended for more initial stages of the research projects.
The poster is a format recommend for work in initial phase. Each poster will be displayed during the conference in the areas provided, and the authors must be present on the date designated by the Organizing Committee to explain their work to the attendants. The poster must be A0 size (0.84 x 1.19m) (vertical format).

To submit abstracts for posters, the data required on the online form must be filled in, together with an attached document in ‘Word’ format containing the abstract written in Spanish and English using the template provided.

Abstracts must have a maximum length of 300 words and be written in ‘Times New Roman 12’ font with single line spacing. All abstracts should include Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion and Keywords, and the template provided below must be used, without changing the format.

DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE POSTERS

All the accepted posters will be eligible for a prize for the best poster. The conference participants will be given the chance to vote for the best poster and the three posters with the most votes will be awarded prizes.

This prize will consist of an award presented at the closing ceremony of the conference together with the chance to publish the full text of the poster as a journal article in ‘Revista de Psicología y Educación’ (Spain).

Symposia

The aim of the symposia is to bring researchers and professionals with complementary or opposing perspectives together to discuss a common topic. Each symposia will include four oral presentations and will be chaired by a discussant who will organise the turns, analyse the main contributions of each presentation and, above all, promote a lively final debate on the content of the presentations. The duration of each symposia will be of 90 minutes.

All abstracts submitted must include the aim of the symposia and a description of the topic, theories or initiatives to be addressed. The speaker’s name should also be included. The main speaker submitting the abstract should list the names and contact details of the other speakers in the symposia on the online form when uploading the abstract.

When submitting the proposals, potential speakers may express a preference for the symposia format, but the final format will be decided based on the recommendation of the Scientific Committee of the Conference. Abstracts must include a single joint presentation of the symposia to be presented by the symposia coordinator. The coordinator’s name must be included. The general summary of the symposia must have a maximum length of 300 words, and be written in ‘Times New Roman 12’ font with single line spacing. Next, an abstract should be submitted for each talk included in the symposium, with a maximum length of 300 words. All abstracts should include the Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion and Keywords, and the template provided below must be used, without changing the format.
